On Cloud 9: Glossier Cloud Paint + Invisible Shield
I am a Glossier freak. I've loved the brand from the start and fell even harder for it once Boy Brow graced my brow hairs. I suspect when new products are on the horizon and stalk the brand's social for every sign of the launch.
Over the last few months, Glossier launched two major products I can't get enough of: Cloud Paint and Invisible Shield.
First up, let's talk about Cloud Paint. In one of the chicest product launches I've ever seen, over the course of Oscars night, Glossier's Insta Story was updated regularly with: Chrissy's wearing Cloud Paint. Reese is wearing Cloud Paint. Another A-list celeb is wearing Cloud Paint. Meanwhile, on Oscars night, they had not announced a new product whatsoever. WHAT WAS THIS TEASE? WHAT IS CLOUD PAINT? Come Thursday morning, four days after the Oscars, I was buying Cloud Paint like my life depended on it.
Cloud Paint is a gel-cream blush that's incredibly easy to apply with fingers. It's super pigmented but blends well. A teeeeny bit goes a very long way.
I bought it in Puff and Beam and use the first for no-makeup makeup looks and the latter to complement bronzey looks.
The tubes are $18 a pop, and at the rate I'm going, I'll have these babies for years. I cannot say it enough: a little goes a very long way.
More recently, Glossier launched Invisible Shield, the line's version of sunscreen. Packed with SPF 35, Invisible Shield goes on clear. CLEAR. It dries to a nice, dewy finish and works even better with makeup than the COOLA Daydream Mineral Primer I've been using.
The sunscreen even smells better than others. It's almost lemony fresh. I've already found myself applying it two or three times a day simply because I enjoy applying it.
The only bummer with this product is that it's $34 for 1 fl oz and I know I'm going to be flying through it. Then again, with the wrinkles and skin damage this could be preventing, $34 every other month is worth it. Your face is worth it!
These are the top Glossier products I have tried, loved and will buy again (or have already bought again):
1. Boy Brow in Blonde (on my third tube)
2. Invisible Shield
3. Milky Jelly Cleanser
4. Cloud Paint
5. Mega Greens Galaxy Pack
I've also tried Generation G, Stretch Concealer, Haloscope, Perfecting Skin Tint, Lip Gloss, Priming Moisturizer, Balm Dotcom and the Moisturizing Moon Mask (actually this is amazing-- kind of forgot about it). I like them all, but in conjunction with other products. The products listed above are perfect as they are for my routine.
All of this is to say: Glossier, I <3 you and will try everything you ever put out into the world.
